Western media reports

Some of NPR All Things Considered people were in Chengdu, Sichuan when the earthquake happened. They traveled to Dujiangyan City and Beichuan County after that. Read NPR's Chengdu Diary http://www.npr.org/blogs/chengdu/ There are a lot of encouraging comments there, to both NPR staff and the Chinese people.

CNN also have extensive coverage: http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapcf/05/13/china.quake/index.html
